Jaemy C creates “interactive” paintings using sculptural translucent layers by challenging how we understand the people around us. Looking up at the figures in these artworks, viewers become part of the scene, reflecting on how our lives and our need to create “content” using everything and everyone, shape the way we connect with others. The pieces invite us to see that every perspective tells a different story.
